  We came here with a tent. It wasn't great for tent camping. I understand they only have a few sites for tents. It was a small lot with no real coverage and was right on the main driving road, so not a lot of privacy or room to let the kids run. But it did seem like an excellent place to bring an RV. The beach was great with a long sandy walk out. The play areas and beach weren't crowded at all, even though it was a long weekend. If I ever did go back to the area, I would stay here again, but with an RV this time.

  My husband and 2 children ages 5 and 13 recently stayed here. Unfortunately it rained the 1st night..but we didn't even mind! We camped in a tent and had some much needed quality time with the kids. We brought lots of board games and crafts and borrowed some from the "lending room" The beach was so great.... all sand..no rocks, clams or weeds and a slow walk out to where it gets deep. If your looking for a party this is not the place to go. If you want to know that your kids are safe and spend some days in quiet peace then this is the place for your family too! We were only there 2 hours and the kids asked if we could go back every summer from now on! Thank you Bon Echo Family Campground:)

  This is a very nice family oriented place run by really great people. The sites are a little small, open and tight together but this was ok for us. The beach is not huge but also was not very busy and there are lots of shade trees to sit under. The water is so clean and clear. There are boats and water sports items to rent and interesting places to take them to. We will go back and I'd recommend it for other families.

  We have been tent camping here since our daughters were two and four years old. The "lending room" is always a welcome thing when the weather was rainy, or my avid reader finished her books in two days. The girls always had friends to play with, loved to see what new playground equipment or water toy was added and seeing their favourite chipmunks. Ralph, and the whole gang there, have always been so welcoming and helpful. In those early days we often forgot things we might need - like extensions cords or the occasional patch for the air mattress, Ralph was always the first one to lend a hand. We've been there through rainy weeks and fire-hot weeks and pretty chilly ones, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We will continue to camp there year after year. Our kids love it and so do we.
